Hobbs Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton Blend Batting is highly recommended for use when working with white or very light colored quilts. The bleached 100% cotton fibers, combined with the fine, white polyester fibers, provide a very white batting It is lightly bonded and needle-punched and it’s machine-washable. Wonderful to quilt by hand or machine. Close quilting yields a flat, low-loft appearance, while more space between stitching lines yields a slightly higher loft – approximate loft is ⅛”. Quilting/stitching should be every 4″ inches, or closer, and quilters may experience shrinkage of 3-5%. Pre-washing is not recommended for this.
